The Aluline Waste Management Group is a division of the Aluline Group (an international company dedicated to providing environmental solutions and best practice in a range of industries).

The groups’ main objectives include implementing and facilitating best management practices in waste management through:

• Providing and promoting detailed waste management plans
• Introducing measures to rationalise policies relating to waste reduction, waste management and litter prevention
• Developing strategies and action plans
• Developing, implementing, supporting, and promoting waste reduction and recycling programs
• Investigating and advising on landfill disposal costs and charges
• Training any staff involved in waste management by the introduction of electronic data devices
• Educating staff, residents and businesses as required

Drawing on cutting edge data capture systems, the group enables the mass collection and analysis of information on waste patterns, contractor performance, and landfill life cycles, and can provide key services to local and national governments to assist the formulation of new waste strategies and waste management initiatives.

Any adopted Aluline Waste Management Plans retain Council control of the provision of contracted waste services to meet local community needs, but allows for progressive merging of services and resources to achieve improved service efficiency and environmental performance.

Under the strategy the Aluline Waste Management Group has the role of monitoring performance and quantifying all data capture information, sharing, research, and education across the region. The group is also progressively developing additional specific waste reduction services to benefit the region as a whole.

ID & Weigh

Aluline WRMS can identify the bin and dynamically weigh the wheelie bin during the normal lifting cycle. Data is stored via several options whilst updating the system database with new customer waste transactions.

Skip Manager

Aluline skip management module can record the collection or exchange of a container, enter a weigh or be linked into the truck ID and Weigh system. Our skip management module is a fully Integrated software package, covering all aspects of your skip hire business.

Job progress can be tracked, and the application is also capable of providing full traceability for skip container locations if skip ID are used. The skip weight can be entered or automatically via an onboard ID & Weight system, the skip job can be selected and the weight then updated on the PDA.

Aluline recognise the important of accurate participation monitoring to help you in evaluating the current situation or the success of a service change or promotional activity. We offer a participation monitoring solution that can be used in isolation or as part of a wider research campaign. Our tem can work with you to ascertain participation rates in your local areas and help to provide auditable evidence of participation for incentive schemes.

Participation

One of the most important measures of how well your schemes are performing is the extent to which they are being used. This is particularly important for kerbside schemes for reasons of cost efficiency but also applies to bring schemes, civic amenity sites and other council initiatives. Our participation module allows the following types of measuring participation:

• Monitoring your kerbside schemes.
• Drop off scheme monitoring (e.g bring banks, civic amenity sites, communal facilities for flats and community skips).
• On request collection schemes monitoring (eg. Bulky waste services or onrequest recycling and composting collections)
• The system will allow a selection of houses or streets to be saved and monitored, with frequency of collections recorded. Date ranges will allow the operator to produce participation reports.

Aluline are able to offer dynamic real-time vehicle tracking and communications. In addition to identify the location of ‘one, many or all’ vehicles, the system will also report on the current progress of the vehicle through it’s days schedule of work.

Full history information is available to allow analysis and evaluation of route changes to optimise the fleet work load. Data is transmitted using GPRS.

Our in-cab PDA is linked via GPRS/GPS and hardwire to the CANbus of the vehicle for statistics including data communications of vehicle related actions (bin lifts, compacts, etc) weight and event information. Other functions are available including “hands free” voice communications.

The system is bi-directional and may also be used to send instructions to the drivers and loaders on specific actions, for example, locations of registered collections” at the appropriate time.

The Aluline Waste Management barcode reporting System (WRMS) works in harmony with a Material Reclamation Facility (MRF). Features:

Aluline LLC is dedicated to supplying Management solutions that include barcode and CHIP reporting systems designed for local authority applications. Our Bus Stop Check system is designed to reduce paper forms and improve back office reporting/task management.

WRMS has an Activity Centre where task are either entered or uploaded from data via the handhelds. These tasks can then be allocated to a handheld using the built in calendar.

The operator will be guided to the first scheduled task with the aid of the built-in SAT NAV. Once at the location the operator is requested to scan the barcode to confirm the correct bus stop and follow the hand held instructions to complete the task.
